Patrick Dempsey and Eric Dane, both of whom appear on the hit ABC drama Grey’s Anatomy, have joined the cast of New Line’s ensemble romantic comedy Valentine’s Day. Garry Marshall (Pretty Woman) is directing. The two join Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper, Ashton Kutcher, Topher Grace, Emma Roberts and Hector Elizondo in the Intertwining film about couples and singles in Los Angeles who break-up and make-up based on the pressures and expectations of Valentine’s Day. Roberts is playing an army officer on leave from Iraq on a flight to L.A. Cooper, on the same flight, is a gay man whose lover is a closeted football player. Kutcher is an owner of a flower shop who proposes to his girlfriend (Alba), only to realize he is in love with his close friend, played by Garner, who discovers her boyfriend is married.
